Hi there! Welcome to my blog. Other than photography, writing has always been a passion of mine. I regularly keep a journal, I'm known for my extra long emails, and yes, I even wrote a dissertation. So, as Kristine Pringle Photography began to grow, it seemed only natural to retire the paper journal and begin this online adventure. I will use this site for posting pictures and stories from weddings and other photo shoots, and also for sharing personal pictures of the people and places I love. To my super cool clients, I am truly honored that you chose me to capture your memories. I hope that you enjoy the sneak peek of your photos. To my prospective clients, hopefully this will give you a little taste of what it’s like to work with me, and the kind of images you can expect. Thanks for stopping by! ~Kristine **PS - to view exclusively weddings, engagement sessions, or lifestyle photography, use the "categories" link above.
On Saturday June 13th, Scott and I photographed Jen and Shane's beautiful and fun wedding. The ceremony was held in Selinsgrove at Wesley United Methodist Church, and a big reception followed at Front Street Station in Northumberland. We couldn't have asked for better weather, or a more fun couple and wedding party! It was such a perfect day!
A perfect day, with another gorgeous Pringle Photography bride, as per usual. :-)
I loved all the different ways Jen incorporated her grandparents into the day. More to follow...
A quick glimpse into the ceremony. I love this moment as Jen put the ring on Shane's finger.
The first time a couple is introduced as the new Mr. and Mrs. is often one of my favorite photos of the day. Jen and Shane are totally glowing with happiness.
I recently had the chance to photograph the cutest family -- parents Erika and Rob, and their adorable little ones, Tyler and Arden. Erika and Rob were referred to me by their neighbors (thanks Addy & Mike!), and I had the chance to meet their whole family a few weeks ago when they attended my first Parents' Photography Workshop. I had a great time giving them camera pointers and teaching them some basic concepts about light and composition, and afterwards I was so excited when they emailed me to book a session. The shoot couldn't have gone better -- their little ones are absolutely precious and I think they had a lot of fun!
Meet gorgeous 2-year old Tyler. I was working (acting silly) to make sure I got those great natural smiles out of him.
And this is his beautiful baby sister, Arden, who is 14 months. She is quite the camera ham -- so so sweet!
These kids have the most amazing eyes.
Seriously, wow! How I love natural light!
After I got a few portraits, I had fun chasing them around and letting them run towards my camera. For only 2-years old, Tyler did a great job making eye contact with my camera!
Is this not the cutest thing ever?!?! There is a whole series of Arden that I love, but I picked this one because of the wind in her hair.
Then it was time for some sand box fun. I love this candid.
Tyler grabbed the shovel...
And Arden was covered. Such a great real moment.
I think the swings were their favorite activity of all. I love this family shot, especially because the kids are looking at each other. Oh, and soon their family will be getting a new addition. You'd never know from this picture (Erika is all baby!), but they are expecting another girl in just a few weeks!
Then Tyler and Arden surprised us by sitting in this chair together -- all on their own! You can't really force a 2-year old and a 1-year old to "pose" together, so we were all really happy that they gave us this great photo op.
During a quick break inside, I photographed the new baby's nursery. I had to post this...one because it is beautiful, and two because I am so impressed with Erika's stenciling skills. She couldn't find a template she liked, so she cut letters out from Word and used them to make it look freehand. You go girl!
The very end of the shoot. It wasn't really bedtime, but Erika and Rob wanted to document their kids in their PJs with their favorite stuffed animals. Tyler loves his little ducky, which according to Erika is usually found in his mouth, exactly like this.
And Arden loves her little frog. When handed to her, she usually sucks her thumb on command. This is exactly the moment they wanted to capture, and I'm so glad I could do that for them. Erika and Rob, thank you so much for asking me to do a session for your family, and I can't wait to hear the news of the arrival of your new baby girl! Congratulations! ~Kris
On Friday June 5th, Scott and I photographed Natalie and Dave's gorgeous Spyglass Winery wedding. The day started out with some rain, but luck was on our side, because the rain cleared out after the ceremony, so we were able to do outdoor pictures as planned. Natalie and Dave are still in London on their honeymoon (lucky!), but they told me they would have Internet access, so hopefully they'll be able to check this before they return home.
While Natalie was getting her hair and makeup done, I took a few pictures of her amazing dress -- and what a perfect spot for it to be hanging!
Natalie has the most beautiful blue eyes. I love this shot.
And this one of all the girls around the bride.
Totally totally stunning. You'd never know it was raining outside....we were under a covered deck.
Onto the ceremony. I loved how Natalie's cathedral length veil looked coming down the aisle.
Scott did some shooting from the side...
And as always, I had center aisle.
Woohoo! Dave was checking the doppler, and the rain had moved out!
So that meant lots of outdoor pictures at Spyglass. Their wedding party was a blast!
Love it! The scenery is awesome there.
And of course we had to use Natalie's veil for a romantic shot.
The first dance. The woman in the black dress behind them is Natalie's Mom.
A great moment taken at high ISO -- so fun!
There were some really funny toasts.
I absolutely love Dave's laugh in this one!
The dance floor was packed all night. The girls definitely had a good time...
And so did the guys!
And the newlyweds, well, they were dancing machines! They were together on the dance floor most of the night, which made us really happy.
This is one of my favorites. The moment is priceless, but it's even better because those are Dave's parents to the left. I love when I can intentionally shoot to include friends and family in the background.
Natalie and Dave, thank you so much for asking us to be there to document your day! We had a fantastic time! You and your families and friends are all so wonderful! We hope you are having an awesome honeymoon in London, and that you can see this before you return home! Talk soon! Hugs! ~Kris & Scott
I recently photographed Tara and Chad's engagement session at Penn State, and it was definitely a happy day in Happy Valley. We are seriously blessed with the cutest, nicest, most photogenic couples ever -- I don't know how we get so lucky!
Tara was a Penn State cheerleader for 4 years, and she met Chad, who worked in radio, while doing an interview. She was only supposed to be there for 10 minutes, but Chad didn't let her sneak away so easily. How awesome that what was supposed to be 10 minutes will soon be a lifetime together!
Tara and Chad are planning a beautiful tented wedding for next June at the Priestley Savidge House in Northumberland. It will be our first time shooting there, and we are so excited!
You can't do a shoot at Penn State without sitting on the Lion.
We then found a good spot in front of the Nittany Lion Inn, so we did a few portraits there.
One of my favorites...yep, they are definitely photogenic.
And they definitely know how to laugh and have fun! It didn't take them long to warm up for the camera at all.
Heading back to the other side of campus, I thought Chad should carry Tara. We had awesome early morning light.
Tara spotted this cool tree, which none of us ever knew was there.
After a quick outfit change, we did a few pictures downtown...
And then we headed into the Alumni Gardens for a bunch more.
I was working the reflections on the water...
And Tara was just working the camera. I mean really, could she be any prettier?!?! I can't wait to photograph her in her wedding gown next June!
Love it! I was thinking of a way we could show off Tara's cool shoes...
Aren't they adorable!?! They, as in Tara and Chad, although her shoes are totally adorable too!
A final posed shot...(well, it was an engagement shoot, so I guess they're all somewhat posed, but I hope they look natural and unposed!)
And then some fun with Joe Pa! Tara and Chad, thank you for totally rocking this shoot, and for waking up at the crack of dawn for the good light! You are such an amazing couple, and Scott and I are so excited for your wedding next June! Hugs! Kristine
On Saturday May 30th, Scott and I photographed the amazing wedding of our good friends, Cori and Tyler. Scott has known Tyler almost his entire life, as they grew up in the same small town, and Tyler's older brother Nate is Scott's best friend. I have known Tyler about 8 years now, and I had the privilege of meeting Cori just a few months ago when Scott and I did their engagement session in State College. It immediately seemed like we were old friends. She is such a sweetheart.
So after their engagement session, I was counting down the days til I could get them in front of my camera again. And finally last Saturday, the day arrived. The wedding and reception took place at Stone House at Stirling Ridge in Warren, New Jersey, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The venue was so fabulous, the weather was perfect, and to say that Cori is one of the most beautiful brides (inside and out) that we've ever photographed would be an understatement. She was absolutely breathtaking. Just wait til you see her!
I started the day with Cori and her awesome girlfriends as they were getting beautified. Nate's wife Danielle is quite the makeup artist.
And then I spent some quality time with Cori's incredible gown. It was so classy and beautiful.
Because their ceremony was late in the day, Cori and Tyler opted to see each other beforehand. We did all the photos before the ceremony, which was so nice because they could attend and enjoy their cocktail hour. Here Tyler is waiting to see his beautiful bride for the first time.
Love the smiles...
The moment was so sweet.
After the big reveal, we started with the portraits. Tyler was looking so handsome.
And Cori was a major traffic stopper. Stunner!
I love this one. Her eyelashes are amazing...
And her smile was beaming.
Probably because she was getting ready to marry her best friend.
We did just a few portraits of Cori and Tyler at the gazebo and gardens...
Because we were soon headed up to The Stone House for a bunch more. This place was insanely awesome!
Their gorgeous wedding party.
I love when Scott shoots with me to get the "candid portraits" like this one.
So fun! You guys rock!
Onto the ceremony. All eyes were on Cori as she walked down the aisle.
And everyone laughed with Cori as she went in for an early kiss after saying her vows. It was the cutest thing ever!
There was a sand ceremony instead of a unity candle.
And then Cori and Tyler were pronounced husband and wife. Their smiles say it all.
There was a great cocktail hour after the ceremony...
With even more amazing food and drink. Cori, these pics are for you! :-)
And just before the reception was starting, we stole the newlyweds for a few more portraits. We had to take advantage of that golden hour light!
The reception started with the first dance.
And then there was a hilarious toast by Tyler's older brothers, Ian and Nate.
Yep, way hilarious.
Nate then continued the humor with the best Billy Jean rendition I had ever seen!
Then there was a Polish Polka Dance, which has been a tradition since Cori's parents' wedding. Cori even looks beautiful with a big babooshka on her head.
Everyone took turns dancing with Cori, and then they formed a big circle around her, which Tyler eventually broke through.
After that, the circle turned into some kind of kicking contest. Can you name that celebrity?? Tyler lived with HGTV's Carter Oosterhouse for a couple of years in LA. Carter and his girlfriend Ginny are two of the nicest, most down to earth people ever.
Lots of dancing followed...
Doesn't look like anyone had any fun at all.
Gotta give props to my husband for this shot, which was taken at 3200 ISO using only the light from the videographer's camera.
Cori and Tyler, what can we say? You two are the best. You are so obviously perfect together, and we couldn't be happier for you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for asking us to photograph your wedding. We hope you like the pictures as much as we do! Lots of love! Kris & Scott

I first met Maggie's parents, Mike and Addy, about 2 years ago in the summer of 2007. Maggie's Mom Addy was a bridesmaid in one of our 2007 weddings (thanks again Jill and Todd!), and she contacted me after seeing their engagement pictures about doing a lifestyle session for their family.
At that time, their son Avery was 2, and I ended up using one of the pictures from their session on the front of my lifestyle business cards. I was really just getting started with family shoots at that time, so Addy and her family are definitely one of the reasons my business has been successful. I can't tell you how many people have commented on their photos, then and now.
Over the past 2 years, I have done 5 shoots for them, the most recent being a "Baby's First Year" package with shoots every 3 months for their newest addition, a beautiful baby girl named Maggie -- who is now ONE! I have truly enjoyed watching her grow over the past year, and I can't wait to share the most recent photos from her 12 month session, which we did on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon at City Island in Harrisburg. Enjoy!
Here is a favorite of Maggie at 3 months old...
A favorite at 6 months old...
A favorite at 9 months. Yes, Maggie is the now infamous bath baby.
And a bunch of favorites at 12 months. I love this one. I can just hear her saying, "It's my birthday, and I can walk!" :-)
Beautiful girls! A great portrait, yet totally relaxed and natural.
We did some fun candids with Dad...
And Mom. This one melts my heart. Addy made a comment during our shoot that nothing is ever forced or planned. That couldn't be more true. I'm sure Addy doesn't remember this moment, and that is exactly why I know she'll love it!
What a gorgeous family! And their outfit choices and colors were totally perfect.
Just like with past shoots, while Maggie was getting changed into a more casual outfit, I focused on big brother Avery, who is now almost 4. I absolutely adore him!
I got a whole series of great photos of him in about 3 minutes flat. Yes, he knows me now, but I did it using top secret tricks that I taught in my photography workshop. ;) Kidding, I just pulled him away from his parents and made up some silly jokes and conversation.
Then Maggie was ready to go again. Seriously, could these 2 kids be any cuter??!!?
On the move! Maggie was doing so good with her new walking skills.
And she loved peeking out of the different houses in the play area.
So so precious! Can't believe we actually got this one!
Addy and Mike, you have a beautiful family, and it has been such a joy to photograph you and the kids over the past 2 years. Thanks for being such great clients and friends too. I look forward to many more shoots in the future! Love, Kris

On Saturday May 16th, Scott and I had the opportunity to photograph Randi & Dan's beautiful wedding. The ceremony took place at Jersey Shore Presbyterian Church, and the reception followed at The Valley Inn in Duboistown. Even with the monsoon-like rain during our portrait time, the day was flawless, and the rain made for some truly one-of-a-kind photos that I totally adore.
I started the day with some getting ready shots of the girls. Randi looked amazing.
And she had the cutest little flower girl. If I was going to single out one pre-ceremony portrait, this had to be it...
Especially since Dan's little ring bearer was also too cute for words.
Onto the ceremony. The church was beautiful.
Randi and Dan recited their vows and exchanged rings...
In front of 200+ family members and friends. I love this fisheye shot.
Upon leaving the church, it was barely raining, so we decided to keep our original outdoor game plan for photos. Well....then the monsoon came. The wind was blowing the rain sideways, so I can't tell you how much Randi and Dan rock my world for their laid-back anything-goes personalities. Not only were they willing to get out of the trolley in the hurricane-like weather, they were willing to walk slowly and look at each other with perfect smiles. Love you guys! And the photo!
As the reception was starting, they were then rewarded with sunny skies and perfect light. At this point we were standing in the parking lot of The Valley Inn. Thank goodness you'd never know there were cars all around them in these photos.
Love Dan's smile here. They were both ready to get into their reception and party.
Randi's sister and maid of honor Ashley gave a tear jerker of a toast.
So Randi and Dan decided to add some humor to the night with their cake cutting. :-)
Speaking of cake, I found this little beauty laying under the cake table. There were so many cute kids that I could have done a whole blog of just them!
The first dance.
And the parent dances. These were hands down some of my favorite moments. There was laughter...
And tears...the woman watching on the right is Randi's Mom, Rosie.
Just when I thought there was no way that Dan's mother-son dance could be as emotional as Randi's father-daughter dance....it was!
My camera was plastered to my face so I could hide my big crocodile tears.
Then it was time for the bouquet toss -- I think Randi secretly aimed for Ashley.
And everyone danced the night away on the dance floor.
Randi and Dan, thank you and your wonderful families and friends for being so much fun to work with! We are so thankful that we were able to photograph your big day, and we hope you like the little preview of photos. We are so happy that you found each other, and we wish you all the best as you start your life together as husband and wife. Congratulations again! Love, Kris & Scott
